Features
Description
The BMW M4 CS (G82) is a focused, lightweight performance coupe positioned between the M4 Competition and the track-oriented M4 CSL. It blends everyday usability with sharper dynamics, increased power, and motorsport-derived engineering.
Performance
The M4 CS is powered by BMW’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six (S58 engine), producing:
-
405 kW (543 hp)
-
650 Nm of torque
-
0–100 km/h in approximately 3.4 seconds
-
Top speed of 302 km/h (electronically limited with M Driver’s Package)
Power is sent through an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission to BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which maintains a rear-biased setup. Drivers can switch between 4WD, 4WD Sport, and 2WD (rear-wheel drive) modes for a more engaging experience.
Chassis and Handling
The M4 CS benefits from model-specific suspension tuning, recalibrated adaptive dampers, revised steering mapping, and upgraded braking performance. Extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) reduces weight, including the roof, hood, front splitter, rear diffuser, and interior trim elements.
This results in sharper turn-in, improved body control, and greater stability at high speeds, whether on the road or circuit.
Design
Visually, the M4 CS stands apart with:
-
Unique lightweight forged alloy wheels
-
Yellow daytime running lights inspired by GT racing
-
Aggressive front air intakes and aerodynamic refinements
-
Subtle CS badging and gloss black exterior accents
The coupe maintains a muscular, wide stance characteristic of the G82 platform.
Interior
Inside, the M4 CS combines motorsport focus with premium detail:
-
M Carbon bucket seats
-
Alcantara steering wheel with red center marker
-
Carbon fiber interior trim
-
Curved BMW display with iDrive 8
-
M-specific performance telemetry and drive modes
While performance-oriented, it retains climate control, advanced driver assistance systems, and modern connectivity features, making it suitable for daily driving.
